Boise Idaho is the fourth-largest city in Idaho and is located on the south side of the Boise River. The city was originally a small mining town named Treasure Mountain until the turn of the century when gold was discovered and the boom of the silver and gold market was on the rise. Today, there are many places to see and do in Idaho including several major cities and numerous smaller cities.
